Dr Winiger graduated from Nottingham University Medical School in 2009.
He went on to complete his GP training in Brighton in 2017, rotating through various specialities including A&E, Psychiatry and Obstetrics.

He then moved to Australia for some time working in Accident and Emergency and out of hours managing the deprived Aboriginal Communities in Northern Queensland.

Since then, he has settled in South Devon with his wife and two young children, where he splits his time between developing DrOnline UK & Ireland as the Chief Medical Officer and working as an NHS GP in a busy city practice.

He has a breadth of experience in both NHS and private medicine and prides himself on his sound clinical knowledge and passion for project development.

As Chief Medical Officer he will overseeing the clinical side of the service, including appraising the GPs working for the service and further developing and improving the service, including opening new services and ensuring clinical safety, and adherence to UK best practice.
