Dr Winiger graduated from Brighton and Sussex University Medical School in 2010.
He then rotated through various medical specialties including: Accident and Emergency, Medical/ Surgical, Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatric units, Children’s Hospital placements and Rehabilitation services.

He then moved to Northern Ireland where he completed further hospital rotations and training and completed his GP training. He subsequently worked in the Clinical Research field running Covid Vaccine clinical trials and clinical trials for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. As part of these roles he managed various Business Development projects to improve services and efficiency whilst there which has made positive impacts to the respective businesses.

He has settled in Belfast with his wife and five young children. He enjoys gardening, going to church, spending time with his family, fishing and cycling to and from work.
He has a wide variety of knowledge in both the public and private sectors and is passionate about improving and developing services to bring about positive change to individuals and businesses. As healthcare continues to change and grows, he enjoys leading projects into growth areas and meeting with like- minded individuals and companies to explore growth and development.
