Fair use policy

1.  General

This Fair Use Policy (“FUP”) applies to all users of Dr.Online UK’s subscription-based services, including:

  • OnePlan Subscription (self-funded subscription for individuals and families).
  • Employer-Funded Healthcare Benefits (where an employer pays for employees to access Dr.Online UK services).

This policy ensures that all users receive fair access to GP consultations while preventing excessive or improper use.

By subscribing to OnePlan or using services paid for by a third party, you agree to comply with this Fair Use Policy.

Failure to adhere to this FUP may result in:

  • Suspension or termination of your access to
  • Additional charges for consultations exceeding fair use
  • Revocation of future eligibility for OnePlan or employer-funde

Dr.Online UK reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Any changes will take effect immediately upon posting on our website.

2.  OnePlan Subscription – Fair Use Rules

  • Appointment Limits & Subscription Benefits
  • OnePlan subscribers receive 12 free GP consultations per subscription year.
  • After 12 consultations, additional appointments are charged at 50% of the standard consultation fee.
  • The allowance applies per subscription, not per individual, for family
  • Free appointments do not roll over to the next subscription
  • Restrictions & Responsible Use
  • You must not book unnecessary or excessive
  • You must not allow non-subscribers to use your subscription
  • Appointments should be medically necessary and used as intended.
  • Online UK does not offer emergency or urgent care. If your condition requires immediate attention, you should seek care from NHS 111, A&E, or emergency services (999/112 in the UK).

Misuse of the OnePlan subscription may result in:

  • Suspension of access to further discounted
  • Full-priced charges for future consultations.
  • Termination of subscription without a

3.  Employer-Funded Healthcare Benefits

If your OnePlan subscription is paid for by an employer, the following rules apply:

  • Employer-funded users receive the same 12-appointment limit per
  • Additional employer-funded appointments will only be available if included in the employer’s agreement.
  • If an employer cancels their agreement with Online UK, employees will lose access to employer-funded services at the end of the billing period.

4.  Excessive or Unfair Use of Services

Dr.Online UK monitors appointment usage and may take action if unfair use is detected. Examples include:

  • Booking frequent, unnecessary consultations.
  • Attempting to bypass subscription limits by using multiple
  • Booking appointments for non-subscribers under your
  • Providing false information to obtain additional free

If we detect excessive use, we may:

  • Suspend your ability to book further discounted
  • Charge full price for any additional consultations beyond the 12-appointment
  • Terminate your subscription without refund for repeat

5.  Payment & Billing for Additional Consultations

  • Additional Consultations Beyond 12 Appointments
  • If you exceed 12 free consultations, additional appointments will be charged at 50% of the standard consultation price.
  • The discounted fee must be paid at the time of booking.
  • Subscription Renewal & Resetting of Allowance
  • OnePlan’s 12 free consultations reset annually on your renewal date.
  • Unused consultations do not roll over into the next subscription
  • If you cancel your subscription, any unused consultations are forfeited.

6.  Cancellations, No-Shows & Fair Use Protection

To ensure fair access to all users, we have rules for cancellations and no-shows:

  • Appointment Cancellations
  • You must cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled
  • Late cancellations (less than 24 hours before) will count as a used
  • No-Shows
  • If you miss an appointment without cancelling, it will still count toward your 12 free consultations.
  • Frequent no-shows (3 or more in a 6-month period) may result in:
    • Temporary suspension of your ability to book discounted
    • Removal of access to the 50% discount on additional appointments.

7.  Weight Loss Services – Fair Use Rules

Dr.Online UK provides a weight loss service, which includes:

  • Medication-based treatments (e.g., prescribed weight loss drugs).
  • Lifestyle & nutrition support (without medication).
  • Medical Consultations for Weight Loss
  • Medication reviews are limited to one consultation per month, unless otherwise advised by a doctor.
  • Users must comply with medical advice before receiving repeat
  • Repeated requests for prescriptions without medical necessity will be

misuse is suspected.

8.  Compliance & Consequences for Violating Fair Use Policy

If a user violates this Fair Use Policy, Dr.Online UK reserves the right to take action, including:

  1. Issuing a Warning – Notifying the user about excessive or improper
  2. Suspending Access – Temporarily blocking the ability to book further
  3. Applying Full Charges – Charging full price for additional
  4. Terminating the Subscription – Ending OnePlan access without a

For employer-funded users, we may notify the employer if excessive use is detected.

9.  Updates to This Fair Use Policy

Dr.Online UK regularly reviews and updates this Fair Use Policy to ensure fairness and service availability. Any changes will be published on our website and take effect immediately.

If you do not agree with any updates, you may cancel your subscription in accordance with our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
